How to speed up the metabolism or the secrets of successful weight loss

A fast metabolism maintains the correct body weight and a slim figure, thereby preventing the accumulation of excess weight, thus, it allows more effective weight loss without diet and sacrifices, so speeding up the metabolism should be the main task of anyone who wants to lose weight. A fast metabolism also provides better body function, better mood and more energy.

Unfortunately, there is no single solution to speed up the metabolism – this process consists of many factors, the main ones are proper nutrition and regular physical activity.

Metabolism determines all biochemical reactions that occur in the cells of the body, associated with the collection of nutrients (proteins, fats and carbohydrates), supplied to the body from food.

50-70% of the energy needed to maintain basic vital functions, and so on, respiration, proper functioning of the heart, brain, kidneys and liver, skin cells – this is the main exchange. The remaining energy of 30-50% is used by the body to perform daily activities, physical and mental work, and also maintains normal body temperature, digestion and assimilation of food – this is a secondary metabolism. If this energy is not used during the day, or, the body gets more calories than necessary, and excess energy is stored in the form of fat, which leads to weight gain.

Sport is a good way to improve metabolism.

Daily physical activity, of course, contributes to an increase in metabolic rate. The more active sports, the greater the energy expenditure and, therefore, calorie needs also increase. Unfortunately, if most of the day you are deprived of physical activity, and you do not move enough in your free time, then the metabolic rate will gradually decrease, adipose tissue will increase.

To prevent this situation, it is advisable to practice mixed endurance training (running, cycling, walking, swimming) – stimulating metabolism, at the same time they speed up the heartbeat and improve blood circulation, so that more oxygen reaches the muscles and all organs. Moderate exercise should last at least 30 minutes.

Scientific studies confirm the importance of certain products that affect the increase in metabolism, this is due to the presence of biologically active compounds in their composition. These are spices and herbs that affect metabolism:

– green tea (contains caffeine and theophylline – which activate the metabolism);

– chili pepper (capsaicin, which increases thermogenesis, stimulates the secretion of digestive juices);

– Ginger (gingerol, which improves digestion, warms).
